I agree.. I received a call and they asked me to provide my account number, when I asked who was calling, they said "HSBC", I don't have a HSBC card, I asked if it was a department or retail store maybe? They asked for my birthdate.. again I am not providing personal info. I asked they send me whatever issue via us mail.. they said they could not because I would not confirm my identity? (what would be big deal .. they would be sending to address on file, right?)
They call all hours of day and night, weekdays and weekends, sometimes 3 times in a row for over two weeks now. They need to be shut down.
Get about 10 calls per day from this number. Called HSBC. HSBC uses two 800 numbers in the U.S. This is not one of HSBC's two 800 numbers. HSBC told me it is therefore fraudulent. Called back to see their game. They have some, but not all, of the HSBC voice recordings for the phone menus. Fellow on the phone asks for personal information rather than verifying. If you call [***] on him, then he says he will call collections at HSBC with you to help verify. Again, does not use one of the two 800 numbers HSBC uses in the U.S. Best part, I do not have an HSBC account and never have had an HSBC account. Pure, 100% identity theft scam.
I think this person., Mickey, also works with Jason.! I got the call, too.....If you have any debt to settle with HSBC, first they send you the statement showing you owe in mail...so, if they have your correct mailing address, then there is no need for "Jason" to call and collect the $$. I'd beware!!
I have an HSBC Premier account where the minimum balance required is $100k or else they charge you a $50 a month fee. I knew i had over drafted since I no longer deposit into this account. I started receiving these calls around 8am on Friday from this number, No message but I was assuming it was HSBC. So I decided to try to contact HSBC through their live chat to close the account. I was able to correct the problem through Livechat AND Calling the HSBC number that the livechat agent provided me with.HSBC reversed all the charges that caused me to overdraft and I did not provide them any alternative payment information over the phone. After I ended the call with my support agent over the phone. THIS 800 number called me again almost immediately. After the support agent informed me that they would not need to contact me again for this issue. I would be wary of this caller, if they claim they are from HSBC I would suggest trying to contact HSBC through their support on their website not through this caller.
This number calls all the time shows up out of area.. ... First I get a man named jason who is very rude... He asks for my husband and i ask to take a message he replies this is personal business.. Finally one day i got a number from him and he says he is from hsbc.. I do not owe any money to hsbc nor my husband. Now when they call and i answer he hangs up on me... This is so annoying and rude... he has two others working for him... When they ask if i am his wife they ask me to make a payment.. I told them to send me a bill... Nothing in mail... I called the number back and received a recording saying hsbc, but then called another day and it was a recording for some vacation.. BEWARE of this number....I also called hsbc myself and have no record of my name too...
