I received the call from the same number today and the person referenced my mortgage and requested that I verify my address. I did not provide any information and hung up. I called B of A Fraud Department and was told the number was not a B of A number. I was also told that B of A would not call me and ask me to verify any information.
Called me, left a message to call this number regarding a letter I received regarding my HELOC acct. Two problems:1) I have not received any communications from them beyond monthly statement in 6 months at least.2) The number here is not even close to the number listed on my statement for servicing.Think I'll wait until I receive the letter until I call them!
I plan to block my number and call them back with a sad widow story and how good it is to have them working so hard to save me from scams (haha) and waste their time before finally telling them to f off. LOL
Come on people. Of course the a slimy scammers. They called my cell today and didn't even address me by name...big tip off there. I feel sorry for older trusting folks whe get swindled by the se scumbags. I stopped in to the local branch to report these POS and the BOA official confirmed it was a scam and that nothing could be done with a toll free number. My suggestion is to block your number and call them back to harass this trash. Have fun relieving some stress.
People generally provide their names on outgoing messages on their cell accounts. This gives the scammers all the information they need to basically act as though they "know" you when they call back later. Beat them at their own game and waste their time with BS personal information after blocking your number. Trust me...it is a blast when they realize they have been scammed by you instead. Oh, the cursing you may hear! I am glad to be generally untrusting of people and very cautious in all my dealings online, through the mail and otherwise. Better safe than stupi!

I received a package from a rigging company in New York with my name and address but this phone number as my contact number.
Looking for a person (that was not me) about a legal matter.

Calls once or twice per week with voice msg "Brandon from CTS" call me back. WTF is CTS? No context, no real msg.
Phone number calls multiple times a day, once someone from my office picks up, it is dead silence on the other line. When you try to call back, it is a number that is not in service.

Shoplc. I don’t mind them calling if I have a problem but they called me 3 times in past 3 days to fill out survey they emailed. If I wanted to fill it out, I would have, I don’t need calls, plus I did fill one out but am still getting calls.
