I suspect a scam because I am a veteran and they are calling numbers that the va dont even have for me, I was just sitting here and both phones rand it was the same place, and the va dont even have them numbers in thier system, plus my claim was denide many years ago at the va, so this is a scam caller do not give any information to them, call the Va first
VA CLAIMS personnel. When military personnel retire and file for disability, they VA assigned a person to assist them. They schedule Medical appointments for the claimant.
Yes, this nice lady called me from the VA to schedule an appointment for a claim that I had filled. She was really nice.
VA calling to schedule an appointment for my claim. Even though I originally filed it waaaaaaaaay back in January (It's now October), they had some questions that I needed to finish answering between March-May, so that took some time, but glad they *finally* called me back!
TCC Medical Services, a subsidiary company of Lockheed Martin contracted to handle medical appointments and notifications for the Veteran's Administration. Very polite.
It is valid. These are customer service reps trying to help out our veterans by scheduling medical appointments. They're not looking for money, dummy!
QTC Management is a contract service for the Veteran's Administration to outsource compensation and pension exams. If you are applying for a disability they will deny it. If you have a disability rating already they will attempt to reduce it. Just another example of a defense contractor (Lockheed/Martin) getting a $6.8 Billion contract to screw over veterans.
QTC assists the VA with Disability Claims. They left me a brief message with hardly any info which made me suspicious. They scheduled an appointment for my eval and sent out the letter with directions to the facility 1 day before my appointment so I didn't even receive instructions on how to get there. I had to call them and give them my email for directions. This is a legit caller. If you have a disability claim that requires an eval you should call them back for the proper information.
Suggest that you do a little homework before you go to your appointment(s). No one is screwing over veterans. The VA has parameters for various disabilities (e.g.: range of motion without pain) that the medical professionals at QTC will use in your evaluation. You can find most, if not all, on the VA website. There is no defense contractor conspiracy to reduce or eliminate your rating. The phone number listed here is for QTC. I received a call and could not answer. They did not leave a message. However, they called me again later (and they called both my work and home numbers and left messages). Very polite and ready to help with getting to the appointment. What happens at the appointment is between the evaluating doctor and the veteran being evaluated. An informed and prepared vet will fare much better now than, say ten years ago. 800.682.9701 is a valid number. It is not a scam caller number.
