Actually this number came up on my cel as 3000. No 1-800 or any other prefix. The automated voice said my credit card had been halted due to strange activity, and after the breep, I should enter the 16 diget number. Yeah right. Never mentioned the name of a card. nada. I called AT&T right the next morning, They didn't act overly concerned. Said they'd never had a complaint about a 3000 number, and it would be best if I called the local PD.
Hello my Name is Bonnie and I am calling about your copier, the one that is closest to you, we want to send you an updated price list on your Ricoh or Zerox machine.
Ladie called in and saying she is from Imaging Services looking to verify some information. She did not provide enough information to match any of our records.
I received a call with my name and number on caller ID. The caller gave me the 800-800-3000 and said he was Credit Reporting Bureau Experian located in Manhattan. He also called me a d--k h--d and an old lady. The recording was from the famous Rachael to lower interest rates.
i received the exact same call with my name and number on the caller id. Caller said his name was Paul Jackson (very heavy Indian accent). Would give any info other than the 800#.
I also received a call that showed my own telephone number. They said they do all the billing for Visa and MasterCard. I asked what Visa I had and he named pretty much every credit card, including Discover and Amex, except the type I actually have. Way sketchy. Wondering if it's legal for a company to use your own telephone number?
Received a call and the caller ID had my own phone number on it. they wanted info on my credit cards to lower my rate. When I demanded a call-back number, they gave me 800-800-3000.
I received a call from an individual with an Indian or East Asian accent named "Brian". Brian said he was informed there was a problem with my credit (there is none) and that his company (unnamed) could assist me. When I asked him how he was made aware of my telephone number and my "problem", he said he was notified by my credit card company...certainly a scam.I told "Brian" to f**k himself and hung up.
I received a robo call with caller ID of my own name and number. The recorded message said I could save money on my credit card interest rates, and press 9 to talk to an agent, but did not offer an opt-out option. Since I'm on the do not call list I talked to an agent and asked for the name of the company and phone number. She said: 'Credit Services', and the phone number 800-800-3000. I asked her to remove my number from their call list and advised her that I was on the Federal Do Not Call List and they were in violation. The agent didn't seem to have a clue what I was talking about. So after the call I went on-line and filed a complaint with the FTC.
