Called me at 10:51 AM EST 11/19/2016. Caller ID just said Toll Free Call. A woman just said Hello on my voicemail but left no further message.
Keeps calling the texting/phone app number I downloaded so I looked it up and see you guys saying it's a medical bill collector, only I don't have any outstanding medical bills and I've only had the app for a few weeks.... they never leave a message
MEDI-CREDIT keeps calling me too. This is a medical bill that I have already disputed and mailed them all the information on. I signed an agreement with the hospital to make monthly payments of $100 for 24 months and after paying 14 of those 24 payments ($1,450.) The hospital turned me over to a collection agency when I kept my word on the contract and the hospital waited until I only owed $625. So much for having any trust in the Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
This # has called me twice in two days. Thing is, it's collection agency for a med center. I haven't been hospitalized in 2 1/2 years and my bills were ALL paid after I was home. I have gotten NO notices for outstanding medical bills in all that time and now a collection agency is calling me??? I am not speaking with them on the phone. Send me something in black and white so I know what in the heck I'm dealing with!
Just got a call from these vultures about a bill for my father, who has been dead for 14 weeks. Yeah, you're not getting a penny from me. When I asked how they even got my number, the woman refused to answer. I gave her some choice advice about removing her head from her backside and hung up.
Just so others can research for themselves....You must be trying to refer to the FDCPA. That's the Fair debt collection practices act.I think while you may be correct about not being called by recording without your advance permission, I am not sure that the FDCPA is the law that covers that. If I were looking for a hint on which law contains those provisions, I would look at the frequently asked questions or similar sections of the FCC (Federal communications commission) web site.Hope that this helpsJ
