Caller from this number contantly calls my home. Automative system comes on and ask to hold for the next representative. I held but it took forever for someone to answer. I do not know who or what they want. Tried blocking the number but they have it fixed where the number can not be blocked. I have no time for this nonsense so I just don't answer. They calls first thing in the morning and all through the day up to after 8pm.
They call at least 3 times per day. Just yesterday they called 9:03 am, 1:13pm and 8:54 pm est. They don't leave a message and there is no one there when you pick up.
I get calls from this number almost every day. It's driving me nuts. I never answer, since I don't know who it is, and most of the time, there isn't even a message. On a few occasions, an automated message was left for some person I don't even know. Supposedly it had confidential information; about what, I don't know. I just deleted it. But is there any way to get this number to just STOP CALLING??
They call me and play a recording. It says that they want to talk with me about a business deal. I don't do business with strangers over the phone so I hang up.I have read here that they are collecting for medical bills. I don't owe anyone.Never the less there is an FCC rule that you no one except a non for profit or political polling agency can legally call you and play are cording.if they are a medical collection agency or collection agency of any kind they are required to send you a bill, all you have to do is informthemof that.I have been doing that with these bogus calls and it usually stops them.
There was an investigative report done here (KC) that learned during the financial crisis many collection companies bought up outstanding medical bills for pennies on the dollar. Since then, many of those bills have been forgiven but the collection agencies are sucking wind on the money they shelled out for the debts so they continue to try and collect. Under law, if you request a written statement they HAVE to provide one. If they don't, they are in violation and you can challenge the debt. Many organizations know the debt is no longer valid. BUT, some are legit. If you owe on a medical bill, make payments on it. Hospitals generally don't care what you pay as long as you keep paying. And most times you can pay to the hospital directly, which means you won't have to pay interest or collection fees.
If you sent them a written notice not to call you and that you would only accept mail as correspondence you do have a right to take them to court, especially since they continue to call you using automated recordings which is against the FTCPA which states that no business can call a cell phone or landline with an automated recording without the express permission of the owner of that number. Just a thought....look up consumer rights lawyers in your area, nine times out of ten they will work the case and only take payment of part of the settlement if they take it to court and win.
I received a call from this agency. Do not talk to them. They are fraud. I checked with the hospital and I do not have any outstanding bills. I haven't been to this hospital in a long time. What so weird about this is that I haven't received in any late notices or bills. They just want your personal info.
They called me and I asked who and why they were calling and the lady said to identify myself, I once again asked why they are calling and she hung up on me.
As another person said, it's from Medi-Credit. I didn't answer, but googled the number first, then called the number back. I do not owe this business any money and I'm not behind on the couple of loans I've paying on. I did get calls several months ago saying I owed a hospital in my town, and I told them I hadn't been at that hospital since 1984 and that bill was paid years ago. One time they actually gave me the name of the person they were meaning to call, and I was not that person. A few different callers said they would fix the issue. It's not me, so I'm not going to do anything else.
