If you read the rest of this letter (which comes without a company name or return address) the small print says "Such materials are not from HUD of FHA and the document was not approved by the Department or Government Agency>" When I called them and asked the name of the company, I was told (by someone with a foreign accent, that the company was Nationwide Finance. NOTE TO EVERYONE: ANY LETTER THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE COMPANY SENDING IT, ESPECIALLY ONE TRYING TO MAKE THE READER THINK IT IS FROM A GOVERNMENT AGENCY, IS FRAUDULENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This particular type of letter is generally targeting senior citizens (and I am one of them) who are often taken in by this garbage.

To add to my previous response, I called the number again (from another phone) sounding like a slightly panicked senior. This time I was able to find out that the letter is supposedly from Nationwide Equities, a bank with branches on Long Island, whose home office in Mahwah, NJ. It appears it is trying to convince seniors to take out reverse mortgages. There is such a company and I shall contact their main office tomorrow to see if they are really behind this Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware) letter. Interestingly, the person I spoke to "simply had no idea the company name and address were not on the letter) of course, the fact that it is a form letter seems to negate his surprise. I will also contact the New York State Department of Financial Services (which I believe is a regulatory agency) tomorrow to see what they know of this behavior.

Yesterday this senior citizen got the same thing in the U.S. Mails. Was hesitant to open it because it did not have a return address on it. Upon opening it, it DID appear to be from a government-related agency. Heck, needed a magnifying glass to read the small print at the bottom. "This is not affiliated with your current lender nor any agency of the government or HUD/FHA."Decided to search Internet for their mailing address so I could write to them. They are deceptive and deceitful. STAY AWAY from and DO NOT CALL 800-861-4080.

These pople who ever they are? Send me a letter saying to contact them at this number 9 (800) 861-4080 no return address ofcause,and try to make like with (hud) the dept.of housing. If they were there would be a return address
