I have been receiving calls from this number for almost a month. When I called back, a pre-recorded message ask for my bank account and routing number.I don't owe anybody money, so I hung up, and reported to FCC at www.FCC.gov.They are Scamms and take advantage of unaware people.Apparently this company is CERTERGY or CTRS.A recovery system co.BE AWARE !!! and report them at www.FCC.gov. Click on the lef at Enforcement Bureu and then at Telecommunications Consumer Division.
I also received multiple calls (voice mails) from a collection company called CTRS. The call came from 205 752 7762, but the voice mail saidto call 800 873 5869. When I called the 1-800 number I got the same message as the other poster, asking me to have my bank account info ready. After a couple of layers of their phone answering system I hung up.
I received a phone call from (205)752-7762. A recording (FEMALE) said that this is a debt collection and any information received would be used for that purpose, then they said to call CPRS @ (800)873-5869. When I called a recording (this time MALE) saying the exact thing the women said, except he said "this is an attempt to collect a debt, this call may be recorded for quality purposes. He went on to say that I should get the following information together CONTROL #, ACCT #, ROUTING #, then he started asking for those numbers. I hung up came to the computer and thankfully ended up here. Oh and I called the original # (205) 752-7762 and instead of the women's voice recording, it was the same man's voice recording from the 800#.
My 91 year old father-in-law has been receiving calls from these people for two months. We've called twice to get them to stop. Yesterday, they said, "Oh, his number is in there twice. We'll remove it from both places." When I pressed her for details on the company, she hung up on me. And yes, the first thing they ask is for your bank routing number and bank account number.
Have receive two calls. We are a business and have no outstanding debts. A mans voice says this is not a solicitation call, they are a collection company and leave the above number for us to call.
I have been receiving at least a call a day from the 205 number until today they have never left a message. The message I received today said it is CPRS and they need me to call 800-873-5869. After searching the number I see that it is a collection agency. The funny thing is that I don't owe anything as I paid off all of my credit cards and debt 6 months ago. Nice try!!!
I also have been receiving calls from this number for a long time and they never say who they are calling for. I have four grown children who don't live with me and I don't owe anyone anything so I ignore the calls,
All these people want is our checking account number. How do we get the calls to stop. They are calling a private business number.
This is a collection agency. They repeatedly call before 6am. The most recent call was at 5:38 a.m. Don't even bother to answer. If you have questions or want to know what collection agencies are up to, go to www.budhibbs.com That website has saved me about $50k!
