1-800-947-6229 is the number they left with me. He called himself Mr.Wesley & was calling about some business matter. He says there's no supervisor or name that he can give out to me.
I am getting calls over and over again asking for someone who do not exist in this house hold. She said she is calling on behalf of Macy and the call is about personal business matter. Annoying...
I received a call this morning for my boss (who wasn't currently in) - the representative (Angela Jackson) was extremely unpleasant and started harping her "Personal Business Matter" nonsense. I advised her that, knowing my boss, he wouldn't call back a random 800 number without knowing the reason. She hastily advised me that she didn't need my help and she would call back later. Oh hells, no!
It is not Macy's. My Wife has a Macy's account and they do not call like this. This is definitely a scam so put them on your block lists or just ignore calls.
The you are a criminal, and a stupid one at that. Who in their right mind is going to buy into that asinine threat. The mere mention of a threat to ones credit is a violation of federal law. If you claim to be a supervisor of these moronic thieves, then you can count on the fact that someone is now looking for you. Don't drop the soap you illiterate.
That presumes that someone actually owes them something. As many here have already stated, for some there was no outstanding balance, and in other cases not even an active Macy's account. Here's a better idea. Why not have these third party bill collectors, subcontracted to entities from foreign nations with neither the laws nor social skills to which Americans are accustomed, actually know what they're talking about before they call someones home illegitimately demanding payment. That would go a lot further to solving such a quandary than spewing nonsense in defense of inappropriate and in some instances criminal behavior.
What kind of moronic attempt at a con job was that? How about advising the people in question to IMMEDIATELY call Macy's and verify and then pay the debt if it's valid? Why on earth would you believe that it's acceptable advise the public to set up payment arrangements with someone who calls YOU, before verifying who that person really is?
