its because they are trying to say it will take 24 to 48 hours to process in our system i do apoligize for any frustration this makes for you.

When I receive these calls(which is often, I'm also on the do not call list-known as the call me all the time list) and after going around and around with these idiots I decided to beat them at their own game...I either answer the phone then lay it on the coffee table if I'm watching tv and let them listen, or I put it down next to my sleeping dogs mouth and let them listen to him breath, snore or even better, lick the phone...of course I clean it after...Or better yet, If my clown of a daughter is around, I put her on the phone, and like me she loves to -uck with the -uckers...often times she's act like she's three and talk about eating a sandwich made of peanut butter and mayonnaise, chewing her toenails, how she can still see people walking by when she crosses her eyes...they have usually hungup by the time she talks about her boogers...but still they call...I hope to be put on their do not call list...I can only hope

am getting calls from SSI - all with local area codes so I am leery about bot answering.Has it occured (to us all) that the phone co. provides people with these numbers? DEven the ones that say not longer in service!!Also, that real Social security may also be doing selling our names and numbers ?(How come so many medical alert calls seem to come only for those of us over 50? And it may also be your friendly get well pharmacy!!!!!And lastly, since social security is part of our fabulous government - the do not call list is a farce.Complain to you elected federal legislators!!!!Wish there were a way to forward all these calls to them!!!!

Just got a call and I called back, said it was an opinionology survey

SSI calls 5 times or more/week on land line. We never answer and they never leave message. Am on DNC list for years now. That is useless gov't program which stops very few. ANY suggestions that work? Caller ID only shows SSI and no number is shown.

I'm finding that this type of behavior is common --in this poor economy -- and attribute it to employees in call centers pretending to be working. Perhaps they even pretend to engage in conversation after they hang up on us.I also get such calls from non-profit fund-raising organizations. The employees keep it up until they get fired for cheating or for insufficient production. Think about it; this never used to happen,.

I call them back and spend there operators time talking about things they may or may not take pleasure in.I like wasting there time and money and better yet giving them things to think about they other wise might never have thought of!
