Hey folks,Western Wats/Charlton/Opionology are all the same. They are not telemarketers. They are legitimate researchers, if there is such a thing. They do NOT come under the Do Not Call laws so all your complaints to the FTC are useless. If you look them up under the Utah Better Business Bureau, it explains that only sales calls are restricted. Political calls, research calls, and calls in anyway tied to businesses you once did business with are exempt. Thank you "paid under the table" politicians for that!So the only way to deal with these are traditional. When you see the numbers on your caller ID, do not pick up. If you are sure of the number, blast a loud horn in the phone, though I think this is counter productive and they may put you on the call alot list! Get in your phone company bundle the option for call blocking, then block all the numbers they call from. Some options for call blocking allow calls to be blocked where the caller ID reads "out of area" or "private" or "blocked", etc. What we are now doing is to make a "do not pick up" list and post it at the main phone. Called my business, said "My name is Peter I assume I'm speaking with the owner?". I said "Hey Peter, Go F*** yourself" and he hung up. Caller ID shows "UTAH CALL". What I usually do is say "Please Hold" and then hang up. They usually call back a few times and I apologize and repeat the "please hold" routine until they give up.

My phone number is on the do not call registry. I do not appreciate getting calls from someone that will not talk to me. Please have them take my number 661-248-5109.

It's a survey about politics and the economy. If they ask for specific information just lie to them and don't give any accurate name. They ask for my name, I gave them a different name. Them they ask me for my age, I gave them a different year. They ask me for my race, I gave them a different one. They ask me what was my income, I gave them peanut. I don't trust anyone so my information is as good as it gets. Then he ask me if I was married, I said widow. I never give any information. Screw those tree huggers. By the way, I also told me I had 3 races, black, hispanic and white. Top that for a survey.

I get calls from this number and they do not answer upon saying hello...I want it stopped. NOW

I had just purchased a new cell from T-Mobile and - in the span of time before my old number ported - I got 3 calls from 823-2020 and 823-2021. I answered the third call and it was a phone survey from T-Mobile. Apparently, this number and others in sequence (-2020,-2021, etc.) belongs to Western WATS Data Collection (westernwats.com) in Ogden UT. Their direct line is 801-373-7735 for the in-house no call list.
