This number called my phone and actually left a message. The message was "modifier [***] you". Wow, real professional right.
Calls from 813-793-6945Well, I decided if they were going to LIE to me about not calling me any more and still calling (fraud), then it would not be unethical for me to play along with them. So I did. Their 5th call to me today I answered on first ring and someone was there, a lady. She identified herself as being with "HOME SECURITY SOLUTIONS" and informed me I had won a FREE home security system with FREE installation, and that her "managers" would be calling me soon to give me the details. I only had to confirm that I own my home. I said "I do". I had her repeat the name of her employer, to be sure I got it right. She took my first name and told me to stay by the phone.A bit later, I had a call from Dallas a.c. 972-528-0134. He called me by my name, and said he was with American Home Secure(s). I asked him to repeat that, saying I'd had a call from Home Security Solutions, was it the same company? He said yes. He then proceeded to make sure again that I was a homeowner. He also proved to me that he *** knew I was being contacted on a cell phone number***, because he wanted to be certain I had a land line, since this system I "won" works only on copper - the wireless system isn't free, LOL!Then he began to tell me all about this wonderful system. When I asked again about the cost, he confirmed the equipment and installation was free, I only had to pay a monthly monitoring fee He took my zip code to determine the cost, and told me it would cost me $36.99/month. He said there was normally a $199.00 activation fee, but he was waiving it 'today only'. He then proceeded to brag about what a wonderful service it is. He said the company, MONITRONICS, is second only to ADT, but has a better customer satisfaction, and A rating with BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, and response time of 22.1 seconds to dispatch police using their wonderful asep technology. He said they are 5-Diamond Certified. We arranged for the tech to come to my home and install the system. He then asked me how to spell my name. I said, "You didn't have my name when you selected and called me?" He said no, that sometimes they do promotions in certain areas, but don't necessarily have 'winners' identity, just approximate location. At this point, I began to tell him about the harrassing phone calls I had received, and the hundreds of complaints posted online about the same number, verifying the illegal activites and rude treatment that others experienced, even those on DO NOT CALL lists. I told him that his company would have to take responsibility for the methods used by any firm they hired to solicit business. He began to apologize, at this point. I said that was OK, he didn't need to apologize, because it would be all over the internet that MONITRONICS is the harrassing company engaging in unlawful practice, and told him to "have yourself a nice day" before we said goodbye. So, in order to put the fear of God into these idiot foreign companies and the greedy US companies who pay them, may I suggest:1. File a complaint with your Congressman, telling him/her the FCC was unable to do anything about this number in at least 4 months complaints have been rampant, while I solved it in 1/2 day for free. The FCC will have to provide the Representative an explanation. 3. Mention in your Congressional letter that your phone company was unwilling to make a complaint on your behalf, but all too happy to PROFIT from your suffering, a situation for which you did not send him/her to Washington, DC, and better rectify.2. Write your local or National Better Business Bureau and try to reduce the A-Rating MONITRONICS brags about to make a sale.
Rude person called me trying to 'sell something free' alarm system or something and actually hung up on me. Not ok.

For those that are having trouble blocking, on my HTC which is similarto Samsung, just save them as a contact you'll know for instance mine says "[***]" or "[***] 1" then hit block contact under your edit contact settings, my phone can put as many as 20 unwanted callers on 1 name so ibdont have so many [***] in my phone, once another calls. Just add to existing contact as said above and will already be blocked
Called about 10 min. apart on 2 different cell phone #'s . The only place my X-wife and my cell phone are located on the same sheet paper is emergency contact #'s at a Doctor or Hosp. location. or on Net 10 paper work for same name. It's a shame our Lives and Information are being sold to the Highest Bidder.Line is all ways busy.
