Received a call from a woman who asked for a Samantha. I advised that they had the wrong number. She said she was sorry and hung up.
I had a lady call my employment for employee verification, come to find out it was for my mother who has never worked with me. When I started questioning the lady she hung up on me. I immedialty called her back and started asking questions and she said they just update peoples records for banks, employment and other verification. When I informed her my mother has never worked here that I thought it was strange she started trying to explain it to me again. I told her you said this call was for employment verification so why are you saying it's for other reasons? Still did not get a direct answer from her.1-800-542-7434 ext 646 (Nora)
Always answer these types of calls - they have to pay for completed call. Keep them talking as long as possible with fake info so they have to pay more.
I have been getting numerous calls from all kinds of agencies looking for a current employee. This company was the latest. Asked me to verify last four of social and physical address where the employee was working. Gave them bogus information. Never trust any debt collectors. They use any/all means to harass, even as far as sending a fax asking employee and myself to sign verifying that employee was still working here. Gave form to employee and told her to destroy.
Called my office. I was busy and didn't recognize the number. No message left. I called back and got an answering machine.
Someone called both my cell and work number. When I picked up the call at work, she said she was calling to verify employment history, then proceeded to ask if the address she had was my correct home address. I asked who she was working for and she said they provide data verification for banks and insurance companies. Strange that she needs to know MY home address to verify employment... I refused to verify without her telling me who she was working for, and she simply said "I understand" and hung up.
Caller stated she was calling to verify contact information for banks and insurance companies. Asked me to verify phone # and last four of the social security number and I told her not to contact my work phone anymore and hung up
Calls often but never leaves a message. I don't know anyone in Sterling IL nor have I conducted business with anyone there.
What makes you think verifacts gets on this website. What makes you think they would honor your request to stop calling you if they did come on this website. They do not read messages from idiots like you.Complain to your congressman, state attorney general, federal trade commission, consumer financial protection bureau or the betterbusiness bureau.Get a physical street address from them, PHYSICAL address NOT , and I repeat NOT a P.O. BoxSend them a first class letter by CERTIFIED MAIL , RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED. Telling them to STOP calling you, stop calling neighbors, stop calling your place of employment, STOP calling your relatives.TELL THEM IF THEY NEED TO MAKE CONTACT WITH YOU ABOUT ANY ALLEGED DEBT -- TO DO IT BY MAIL ONLY !!!!You can bet if they are calling around to check up on you__ you can bet they are calling anyone but not limited to the above listed people.
