They keep calling. I tell them I am not interested in whatever they are selling
person called my job asking me questions. verifying my address. said she was with verifax. twice i asked who she was verifying for and she said she had limited information. i said i dont want calls at work and she asked if there was another # to call and I said no they can send me anything via the mail. feels like a scam. she did give any reason that the call was for.
VERIFACTS is a company that gathers personal info about you, especially your employer & current address. they work on behalf of collection agencies who want to take you to court. what I want to know is do they have permissible purpose to pull your credit reports & relay that info to a 3rd party? are they violating privacy laws?
Thanks will be calling Chicago today to see how to start a complaint in Michigan
Received a call this morning on my job pretty much the same as all the other stories. They wanted to know if I had full-time employment this question was asked to one of my co-worker who gave the phone to me. This has to be illegal will be contacting the Attorney General's office for the State of Michigan to file a complaint.
815-380-9506 called for job verification. Lady said they were a 3rd party
They called me with a Verification of Employment request for someone with whom I had done business but had never been an employee. They provided a SSN, but I have not idea if it was accurate or not. (Do you know your plumber's social?)Suspecting a scam, I instructed them to send me a written request with an authorization of my "employee" before I could verify if that individual works here or not. I never heard from them since.
They just did the same thing to me

Saying postal redelivery unit when called. What?
I didn't accept the call and they did not leave any voice message
I answered this one out of curiosity as I usually don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. Another annoying robocall. This time claiming to be calling from Medicare.
Would give it zero stars if I could.
Because I didn't know who the caller was, I sent it to voicemail. The caller did not leave a message and hung up. I assumed it was another robo call and when I checked this site my assumption was confirmed.
said dish was updating receivers and needed for us to turn on dish for 2 minutes to do updates. told them to call back tomorrow.
