Note that the caller ID starts with +81, not +1. That is the country code for Japan. That doesn't seem likely, so I wonder whether the caller ID spoofing manages to spoof the country code as well as the rest of the caller ID. It might be enough to frustrate your call blocking if you enter that number into your blocked list as if 817 were just another US area code.
I received a call from the same number 817-024-7862. I left a message and referred them to Edgar Alan Poe. "Quote the Raven, Never More."
This number called and started talking about rewiring home security system, free medical pendant.. I said we have a system already, reply: "well that's why I'm calling" I said: we don't use it and I'm not interested, it hung up... now they know I don't use it and can sell that info to thieves or something?
"Pat" just called me, he said he was with central security and they were updating all the landline systems. LOL You have to work at the LOCAL central office of the phone company to do that, how would I know? I work there! Don't fall for this BS.. He is in Texas, I"m in Rhode Island
CALLER ID: UNKNOWN NAME pretty sure this is a fake/spoofed number as the local exchange starts with a zero (817) 024-7862 which already makes them felons ...
