Froylan "Froy" Jaramillo Candelario from myrealestateplaza.com, The Real Estate Plaza, Inc. in Granada Hills, CA called 7-31-13, refuses to mail written DNC policy. Continues to call despite being asked not to. CA real estate license = 00875305. Supplied fake address for home he claimed to have the listing on. Caller ID read in all caps "MY REAL ESTATE."
Some years back, my fiance and I were renting a home in Granada Hills. We received a phone call from Mr. Candelario asking if we knew anyone interested in buying a 3 bed/2 bath home around the corner from where we were living. I said we might potentially be interested in that, so we set up a consultation to meet him in the office to discuss the situation and our options. At the consultation Mr. Candelario had us fill out a questionnaire. After he read thru our answers, he said, based on our credit score and cash we do not qualify to buy a home. However, he was going to help us buy a home. He knew of a few sellers that are willing to work with buyers like us. He told us that we needed a seller that would help pay our closing costs. The listings he brought out to show us were all over the place, 2 bed / 1 bath in Pacoima another in panorama city. When we looked at the listings we told him they were not inside our criteria, and we asked if he could show us other homes besides the ones we had seen. Maybe others in the Multiple listing. He told us no sellers would work with us because our cash was too low and that if we wanted home ownership, this was going to be it. My fiance and I felt like we were being manipulated into buying just these properties he had in front of us. Felt very deceptive. I'm abusiness person and I understand that most if not all sellers today will help buyers with the closing costs as long as you add it to the selling price. Needless to say my wife and I ended up waiting three months and found a home in GH from the Multiple listing. When we met Mr. Candelario, we found him very Charismatic, Intelligent, Authoritative and Deceptive. In his office he had passages about "Love, Life, God Bless Us All." Looked like he was trying to give the appearance that he has good values and he's successful and you can trust his him. In retrospect the whole thing was bizarre almost absurd.Looking back, I believe those listing he was trying to get us to buy were just his own listings.
Not really Susie, most real estate agents are there own business and they have liberty to run it however they want to. They can show what ever homes they want. But, Froy's methods are very disingenuous and misleading. It seems he's really targeting the most un-educated of the population, or sounds like he could be just a Sociopath.Rick K.
Word is this guy got banned from going to real estate seminars because he was charging $500 dollars a day to have people shadow him.
I've known about Froy Candelario for a very long time. I actually knew him way back in the Park Regency days. He used to tell stories about his humble beginnings of living in a cave in Mexico amongst Goats and Howling Monkeys. It's a real rags to riches story of how he's made it to the top of the real estate business. There was even a story of him trying to save his best friend from falling off a train they were both on while crossing the border. I've heard the latest story of him giving all of his money away to charity. These stories are all great except for a few things. They are completely impossible to either confirm or deny. No one can prove him wrong, since they weren't there, so he can spin whatever details into the story he wants. He once told a group of real estate agents that they were looking to write a book and make a movie about his life story. How can anyone disprove such a claim? They can't. So Froy relies on these un-provable, unsubstantiated claims to build up a false aura of authority, or knowledge. But no matter the outlandish story they always present him in the light as a hero with high morals. I heard two women outside a seminar saying that Froy saved a village that was being pillaged by gorilla soldiers when he was on missionary. I asked them if they were there too. Of course they weren't but they assured me that it happened cuz Froy said so. These two women were not from California and I've been selling real estate in the SFV for 35 years so I've met most of the top producers here and met alot of their clients. Builders, Developers, Short Sales, Investors, sellers, buyers..... you name it I've met them all. Theres agents in the area that do 40 deals a year and I've met their clients and vendors that have worked with them. And yet I've never met anyone that has worked with Froy. One would think if you're averaging 1000 deals a year for years, your going to leave hundreds of past clients to talk you up or some shred of proof. Personally, I think Froy's "Lies" are catching up with him. Take it from me, if you get associated with Froy, you'll realize one day that it was just all a complete waste of your time.Joe
Joe, he has done some deals. Not 1000 a year like he claims, more like 5 to 35 deals a year maximum.Charles
