I've recieved these calls many times. I googles it and arrived here. Just trying to make sure the information matches. I'm logging myself in the do not call registry
I missed the call but I notice they didn't leave a voice mail. My rule of thumb: if they don't leave a message, it was not important. If I'm really curious (e.g. I don't know the area code), then I'll googles it and here I am posting.
I just got that call but I didn't answer it & they left me a recorded message saying that same thing.

Got a call from a 843-977-2121 and when I answered it asked for me to press 1 for someone live. I 've won $1000.00 obiously this is a scam.

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
