Got a voicemail saying they were from “S—- some Medicare” couldn’t catch it due to thick accent, call regarding needing to verify patient information due to “risk adjustment.” Noisy background and saying can’t patient information on the phone due to HIPAA violation. Sounds like a well organized scam.
Same thing; I called BCBS multiple times and said they do contract out to certain companies but this wasn't one and THEY ALWAYS REQUIRE and REQUEST records via mail correspondence or fax if haven't responded
Its no scam. its a out souce company and they send the medical records over to the office. FYI.
This is a company that is out sourced and they send the medical records request on the behalf of the insurance carrier. no scam. You just have to verify the doctor and your fax and they send it to you. FYI. #Nurse # Just got the call also .
