Starting around 8 in the morning this number called me 4 times. Each call was separated by a 30 minute interval and no messages where left. I researched that the 844 area code is a new part of the toll free number sets. I never answer numbers I don't know and expect a message to be left if the call is important.I've treated this as a scam or spam call and added it to my block list. I suggest you do the same.

same here. probably a scam of some sort. also read in the NYT Sunday magazine about bill collectors from two weeks ago (August of 2014) about that and be awarew that many "bill collectors) are scams also and are "collecting' on a bill you don't owe. Addidionally (collectors) are doing the same thing banks did on the robosigning of mordtgagage defaults a few years ago and are actually filing suits against people, in court, without ever really looking into the validity of the lawsuit-in otherwords not valid or lefitimate collections. There is some company that will help (for a fee of course) beat thjose suits by writing letters asking the collection agency to verify, by identifying the purchases made. mostly they can't,because the company bought the debt (real or not) elsewhere. Thus the collection should be invalid.Don't be bullied at any cost. Call your states attorney geeneral or contact the Federal Trade Commission on-line.This particular call comes at about 30 minute intervals and never leaves a message.

Has called numerous times and has never left a message. I do not answer unknown name calls, and have contacted the attorney general to file a possible harassment suite.

It is PNM. A local electric company

I have been getting calls from this number as well. They leave no messages either. Someone said this is PNM Electric Company which if it is true then please be careful it must be a scam because I don't have PNM service so why would they have my cell phone number.

I don't know how they got my number I've only had this phone number for 3 months

I have gotten calls all day from this number at the following times: 4:09pm; 3:44pm; 3:16pm; 2:45pm. If they can't leave a message then they can just have a conversation with themselves.

Got this message right after call blocked showed up appears to be PNM.....i owe them 35.00 for power bill ..past due by few days...been with them for over twenty five years...no problem oops I forgot a payment......im bad f them

We received a call from this number this morning. (The number is 844-532-0887.)It left a recording on our phone.Suppposedly it was from PNM, which stands for Public Service Company of New Mexico. That is a New Mexico public utility.The recording said that our account balance was overdue. However, the account number they left was not ours; the account balance was not ours; and our account is up to date.On the surface, it would be easy to think "Oh, they're calling about the wrong account" -- and maybe call them back to let them know. But some of these callers have arranged it so that IF YOU CALL THEM, then they lock onto your telephone account and re-sell your long distance service elsewhere. Russia, or whatever.I won't be calling them back. If I *did* call them back, I would look up PNM in the phone book and call that number.Hoping y'all don't get caught by this or any other scammers.
