Called cell phone asking to verify daughter's date of birth. Would not say who they were or why they were calling
I finally answered asset months of this number calling and never leaving a message. They asked me for the year I was born, which I answered, "I'm sorry, but I dint give out my personal information over the phone especially to someone I don't know. What company is this anyway?" They said something to the effect of "premier credit" and they have already sent me paperwork (which I've never seen). Then proceeded to say, "We have your address as 1710 Franklin Rd is that correct?" I replied, "I will not verify any information to you without some sort of proof, you will have to send more paperwork." They then replied that they would not do such a thing bc they already sent paperwork once (seems fishy right? ) and that it would just be my problem and effect my credit score and then hung up as I was attempting to respond. Yes. They actually hung up on me without telling me why they were even calling! I still have no idea what payment they think they were trying to collect and on who's behalf they were collecting for, which seems really strange. Why wouldn't they a) send another letter, b) tell me what bill/what company they are calling about, and c) hang up on me? I wouldn't give out any info to them bc this seems like a scam!
