This call originated from a cell phone in India, listed as from Uttar Pradesh West And Uttarakhand. I didn't answer, but they left a robo message that it was United Health Care and to call the above number back with a 7 digit pin #. Could be a scam. If I were to call UHC, I would use the number on my insurance card, not this one.

I received same message called UHC and it is not a number that belongs to them so they are reporting it to the proper department

The odd thing is they knew our name.

I actually use United and have used the home visits about three times before, once while out of state and away from my doctor. They couldn't care less about where or how you live, trust me, I live in a motorhome!If you simply tell them you're not interested they'll stop asking.But the home visits are not a scam.

Total Scam. A recording said I should call United Healthcare back at 844-958-3833 and give them the 7-digit pin number of 421-6975. I called back and reached am Indian who said his name was Eric and never asked for any pin number. . I asked him if he was really with UHC, and said he really was with UHC "Care Improvement". He said, "Would you please verify your date of birth." I said, "No, I won't. You called me, I didn't call you. What do you want?" He said, "Then would you please verify your address." When I again said no, he said, "Then I can't give you any information about your health." I said, "I didn't ask you for information about my health." Advice: If you want to call UHC, call 800-643-4845, their real number.

Because of this reply I called the number back and got an absolutely delightful girl who helped me immensely by scheduling the mammogram for me next week that my doctor's office failed to do for 6 months!I love the way United Health takes care of me - perhaps because I always treat them with that appreciation is why they do it?Hmmm...

I forgot to mention: Because I called the number back, I immediately began receiving non-stop calls from Indians trying to pull the old "you owe the IRS" scam. Don't answer or return any calls from UHC. Call UHC at 800-643-4845 if your caller ID says UHC and ask if they called you.

NOT A SCAM!After reading a couple posts that this was concerning House Calls thru United Health - my insurance company - I called back as I have been very pleased with the House Calls service.But instead this was them asking about my mammogram which my doctor's office failed to schedule for the last 6 months!The absolutely wonderful girl scheduled one for me nearby, for NEXT WEEK!United Health Care has taken excellent care of me since the day I switched to them, probably 5 years ago and I appreciate them greatly.Why they constantly use different phone numbers is a mystery to even their employees - but it's no reason to bash the good work they do elsewise.

844-958-3833 is a United Health Call chking to see if I was wanting a mammogram. I told her I don't do mammogram test and wished they'd stop calling and asking. I go through this every yr. She said she'd take me off their list.I also had a 7 digit number but I never enter it. They knew it was me just by dialing the 844 number.
