Same situation here. Only after virtually yelling at the lady would she agree to take me off their list. I was getting multiple calls per day at all hours. If they call again, I'm lobbing in an FCC complaint.

I just received a call from a middle eastern women, who knew my name and tried to lead me to believe that I registered to recieve baby goodies for my little one. I explained to her that I didnt have a little one and that I wasnt pregnant. She than tried to convince me to just accept the gifts because she was sure that I knew someone that had a baby or would be. I refused to do so, and told her that if my name was entered into any kind of registry that it was done fraudulently, and she hung up on me. I can say that I have applied for a Pay Day loan recently, and since then I have been receiving all kinds of solicitation calls. I contacted the loan company to ask what was going on and I was informed that when applying for certain things over the internet, there are ficticious companies that sign up and are also forwarded all of the same information that you provide on the application for the goods that you actually want. Telling them to place you on a do not call list wont work, as they are attempting to have you confirm information before they steal your identity, or scare you into paying them for unknown debt.

This number has called my cell phone every day for the last 2 weeks. I have it labeled in my address book as SPAM, so usually don't pick up. Yesterday I decided to answer and the guy asked for "Michael". I told him there was no Michael. He asks "is this his wife?". I say you have the wrong number and stop calling me. He says, since you are not Michael, I can offer you the same deal, blah, blah, blah. I say don't bother and put me on your do-no-call list, etc. He keeps talking on and on. I hang up on him while he continues to talk. Next day, I get another call from this numberDisgusting!! What do they think they will accomplish???

Just curious I read people saying they don't want to waste their minutes answering these calls. Do any of you have Straight Talk or Tracfones? It is just interesting their customer service/call center is in India and I repeatedly get these calls and phone messages. Today, my phone has been ringing off the hook with all these bs phone numbers and they never leave a message. I reported one of the harrassing calls about owing money to FTC and the women that took the info could really have cared less.

This makes the 20th call in 24 hours. I'm fed up with these calls!

I didn't answer the phone, I never do if I don't know the number.
