"Heart"?

I just got this same call today. It was a hang up before the recorder answered. I did a reverse phone tracert on the number and it came back...no results found for 849-963-4853...so go figure.

Ask Bush. He is the one that gutted most of our safety protections in this country.

My Mom and Dad got a call from this number today. No message left. They don't answer calls from unfamiliar numbers.

How is the DNC dysfunctional? It is just a list. Its Free to use or not use. Not an Army who determines what calls you do or don't want and whacks them down. It is simply a list of numbers provided to legitimate telemarketing (telephone sales) companies of those who do not wish to be called for marketing purposes. Nothing mechanical or magical about it. Simply a List. Scammers and people who spoof caller IDs and others who call and harass do not subscribe to receive the list. Nothing will stop them except reporting and eventual prosecution, which is nearly impossible. Nor would they abide by the DNC list if if made available to them.What about all the calls that you are NOT getting because of this simple list, by companies who do honor it. Most think about those nasty call that they are now getting, Not the ones that they don't get.Magazine subscription sales, carpet sales, payday loan companies, Insurance companies, Cable TV, Roofing companies, contractors, travel agencies, finance companies, hearing test centers, Stores announcing sales, Pre-approved Credit Card solicitations, and the list goes on...Anyone who is not happy with it is always free to contact the Registry and opt out. Then your phone number will be fair game and legal for every business in the world to call. Not just those scammers, and other illegal calls. Every legitimate business in America can call you at will, and it will be legal. The DNC is not perfect and I, like you and everyone else) get frustrated by these illegal callers. For what it was designed to do, the list works quite well and is honored by most all law abiding businesses in America, because our number is there and says "Don't call Me". I believe that the Government should mandate that the Common Carrier communications companies solve this issue by creating the equipment that can do it. In the mean time, There are call blocking devises that are available and work quite well, and those believe that the DNC does no good at all, should consider Opting out and start receiving all of those calls that they are not now getting.

How?? This is amessage board and has nothing to do with the calls you receive nor does it have any ability to block such calls. It is for people to discuss and exchange information concerning these unwanted calls that everyone is getting. I would suggest that you Purchase a call blocker or contact your phone company for this type of service.
