I’m so relieved to read these comments. Although I consider myself fairly intelligent and I was immediately apprehensive about these phone calls, I received three over the course of as many hours and a very tiny part of my brain thought that maybe it is an urgent matter I need to attend to. It also didn’t help that my drivers license recently expired and I accidentally bounced a sizable check because my mom had written me a check but accidentally used the old checkbook for an account that was closed. This left my bank account in the negative. So I did momentarily worry, not enough to call them back and give them my info but enough that I had a knot in my stomach. I’m so glad to see that I’m far from the only one they called.
Left message saying my SSN and driver's license was going to have a legal block and they needed "information" so this won't happen. I did not pick up. Scam.
