This thread makes me wonder if people even read their mail. I received the "Final Notice" version of this. Mine doesn't mention MicroSoft or Windows anywhere. However it does very clearly state: "Sponsored by DirectBuy of Central Texas" and gives an Austin address. Then it states: "...This promotion is not sponsored by or affiliated with Android... Must present voucher for gift. 90 minue visitation required..." Anyone in Central Texas that has turned on their TV set in the last 5 years has seen the DirectBuy infomercials and knows they are a legit business. While I have no need for or desire for their services, I could find 90 minutes to say no to salesperson for a $249 Tablet and a $100 gift card.

Went to the presentation, which lasted about 90 minutes (we did not sign up). I did not get a Tablet... instead i got a letter saying that due to unforeseen circumstances they were out of Tablets and that i would get a tablet at another date when they came in. Right now it seems that Direct Buy is making people jump through hoops to get their Tablet, even if they did attend the presentation. I'm not sure if we will ever get a Tablet. When u call, no one picks up the phone... and no one will call u back about your prize. It sure seems fishy so far.... I would stay away from this company. Will post back if we ever get our prize.

Did you recieve the tablet at the end?? and how are the tours?

Also keep in mind that there are 7" tablets that sell for under that do not have access to the Andriod market apps

I recieved one of these, but it was clearly marked from a direct buy near me. it was a promotional and i would have to sit through a 90 minute presentation followed by the usual hard sell. worth $95, not worth 90minutes of my time and the anxiety of dealing with a pushy saleperson.

I also got the promotional epad offer w the $100 gift card mail on 12/10/12. So glad the Internet can help me find other people who experienced the same thing! I was about 10% intrigued, but now am definitely tossing the whole thing in the trash.

Went on Sunday to the Direct buy promotional stayed about one hour and thirty minutes received my one hundred dollar Restaurant card and my free Android tablet it was not bad did not purchase a Direct buy membership but it's great if you have nothing else to do.

Thanks everyone, I just received the letter today (1/06/2015) for the Android Touch-pad Tablet and $100 restaurant gift card on and there is no way I am going to call. Filing it in the trash where it belongs.
