Fake Comcast "you may or may not have a problem with your equipment" call.

"Comcast" you may hahe a problem with yor home equipment, we need to setup a time for our technicians to come. But I definitely don't have any problems with my equipment

Kind of scary ....I believe this to be bogus, but he had too much information. I received the same call saying there is a problem with my equipment at home. I asked him for the address and he gave me the work address. I told him no that was the incorrect address. He then said there were 2 accounts and to hold on. Then he gave me my home address plus an additional name of a coworker. The coworker does not live with me!

855-538-4277 had my business name, but no other details about any account with supposed degradation. Finally got tired of not answering my questions and hung up.

After receiving a recorded voicemail for two days running, I called Comcast directly using a different 800 number that I know is legitimate. And it appears that the message left for me was legitimate as well -- our service has been flaky, but that unfortunately is standard for Comcast.

Autobot said that "Although you may or may not be experiencing any problems at this time, our network monitoring system has identified issues with your home service and we would like to schedule an appointment to check the equipment inside your home.This will be at no cost to you. Please call us at 855-538-4277, Sunday to Saturday, 8am-9pm local standard time. We need to speak with you before we schedule your appointment. You may begin to experience service issues if the appointment does not take place. Thank you, and have a great day." We do not have any problems and do not plan on responding.

I got the exact same phone message as GL today. Why do they, who claimed to be from Comcast, have to schedule an appointment to come to my house? What is the purpose of this call? Robbery? Anyone?

Thank god I looked this up. I received this in am email with a line saying may be issues with my Internet. There have been but NOT UNTIL the rmail. I called the number, set up an appointment and I will be calling xfiniy tomorrow and these [***] [***] to cancel my appointment.

Caller stated they are from Comcast and their systems have detected a degradation and would like to schedule a tech the will need to come out to check my equipment. He stated the tech would take 45-60 min. asked me what time would be good time. I hung up with them then contacted Comcast to see if this was actually a call from them. there has been no issues with my service or calls from them
