Is March 2025, I received a letter yesterday, I was suspicious as well but thank to your comments I called. I was attended by a machine and after that by a guy (I can't recall his name), fortunately he told me that the information that was missing was the SSN of my wife and if I prefer, I could call directly to the number in the card.

It seems that BLAN This number looks like it belongs to Cigna. Somebody out there know ?

Apparently it is CIGNA possibly calling to follow up on getting social security numbers for family members covered in your plan. Did you receive a letter?

Yes, I received a letter and Cigna is my health insurance carrier.This looks to be legit.

Have you followed up on this? I got a letter too, but still wary.

Just received a letter today from Cigna requesting that I call them at this number in order to give them my Social Security #. The letter seems legitimate.

I received the same letter. I got the number for Cigna's billing dept online and called them to verify this is legitimate. They verified and said that it is info they need. Fear not! I was super worried as I gave them my SS number before I verirfied everything, but after some research, I can say this is legitimate.

"John" is the person who answered the number. Was very wary but comforting to know from the others that it sounds legit.

FWIW, I called the 800 number on my Cigna ID card. The lady I spoke to said she could take the info and send it on to the department that needs it. (She also mentioned that the computer record did not currently have my SSN.)

Also received the letter from Cigna. I called the number on the back of the card as well. They patched me through to their "Eligibility Department" who handled the rest of the call.
