Have received a call from this number every day for the past week. Today (9/5/12) I called the number back. It's some political voice pack thingamajig (don't know, don't care). I did not finish listening to the automated spiel, I just hit the #1 hoping to reach a human. I did. I asked to have my number removed from their call list. The person I spoke with was very polite and verified my number, said she would add my number to their "Do Not Call" list and that it would be processed immediately. Took me all of a minute to do. Now I wait to see if that took care of it...(p.s. I checked the website that this call belongs to. They aren't even affiliated with a candidate! Here is their description:"Paid for by Restore America's Voice PAC . Not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee. Restore America's Voice PAC does not make contributions to candidates. Funds raised by Restore America's Voice PAC will only be used for independent expenditures in support of or opposition to candidates. Comes up in my phone as a medical clinic, but when I called them they're some business that supposedly works with Medicare? I'm too young for medicare. Scam call.
Sounds like a potential call center scam.
Said they were from Bank of America calling me about a fraud alert on my account. When I told them I do not have an account with B o A - they hung up on me. Ironic!
They said it's a business call from northern light. Not real and clearly spam. Northern light must have its phone numbers data leaked.
