They keep calling and hang up when the message comes on. Yesterday i answered and they still hung up!
Obviously "Research Center" is a survey research company. If that is true, they are exempt from the federal Do Not Call regulations because they likely conduct political and opinion poll research. That's how candidates for office find out about the issues impacting voters, which is the price of living in a democracy. As for calling at 6:30 or 7 p.m., these companies call when people are likely to be home (it would be ludicrous for them to call at say 10 a.m. when it's likely members of the household are out of the home).

REALLY! SO I TOLD HER AGAIN NOT INTERESTED IN WHAT SHE HAS TO SAY, AND GOODBYE!. TODAY 09/22/14 RECEIVED A CALL AGAIN FROM 858-401-7167 RESEARCH CENTER! I COULDNT BELIEVE IT I WANTED TO SCREAM AT THAT PERSON BUT INSTEAD IT TOOK EVERYTHING NOT TO SAY OR SCREAM IN THEIR EAR DONT CALL ME ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a scam called "Directions in Research". Callbacks to their voicemail, and logins to their "do not call" webpage are completely ignored. Two ideas here: 1) Calling the San Diego County District Attorney to ask about harassment charges, and 2) If you happen to get a live person calling you (which is rare), ask her what she looks like, what she's wearing, what color panties, etc. Remember, THEY called YOU, so they earn what they get!
