got a vm on my work #. no msg, just office noise in background

Received call on my cell. Person wanted to update their records about my computer.

They have a list of people who worked in the office and wanted to be connected to someone who would tell them the records about our computers. These people have been calling for weeks. If you don't answer the phone the first time, they will call again a few seconds later.

They are phishing for information. Not sure exactly what scam they are running, but it's best to hang up immediately when they call.

Four people with accents (mostly women, and one phoned twice) wanted to update their contact lists or do something regarding demographics by confirming the whereabouts of five employees. I advised that kind of request must be in writing and sent via standard mail. When I offered to provide the mailing address, they all declined. I told the last caller to spread the word to cease and desist, and the board has been quiet for the last ten minutes.

"Abby" from Aberdeen Group called first saying it wasn't a sales call, sure but collect the info to sell to companies who want to sell to you. Indian accent. Asked to verify information with our company. Told her that was against policy and hung up.

A call came through from this number. I did not answer the line.

Called me at work, and asked for me directly. Said they're from Aberdeen and not selling anything, but want to ask about our phone system. Said they need to speak to OPs and not "me", and put them on hold. Has soon as I did, they hung up.Not the first time they have asked for me.

Called claiming to be from Harte Hanks, wanting to confirm company address. I hung up on her-obvious boiler room.
