Dell call "The computer company" Scam

I too received a call and missed it on my Office line... I did not call back.

Terribly annoying Harte Hanks call. Just ignore them, they ask a whole list of employee contact info questions & won't tell you why.

yes, just a call from them this afternoon wanting to confirm company address. I told her no and hung up.

Called and asked for "Joel" in our engineering department. I asked if we used their services, and he replied yes, and when he last spoke with "Joel". Last week was the wrong answer.. you see Joel hasn't been employed with us for quite some time now. I told him I would be available to answer his questions, to which he was not happy with. He kept telling me he needed to speak to someone else.. I finally told him his call was not going any further than my phone and he hung up on me.. Sorry "Ethan"! If that was even his real name!

Someone from Harte Hanks Inc. just called and requested to 'update our computer equipment'. Obviously someone doesn't know how to read from a script (they sounded like the Indian MS scam after that comment about updating, so I wasn't playing along), if they were trying to update some Rolodex of information about the company I work for, they failed. Tried several times to verify what they even wanted, only to be told that same thing ('we want to update your computer equipment' ???). Chick on the phone sounded 2 fries short of a Happy Meal, told her no and promptly hung up.

Just received a call from this number. The person has a heavy Indian accent and can barely be understood. She was trying to confirm information on our IT equipment. As per my normal procedure when receiving calls of this nature, I asked her if I could place her on hold, then left her there. She hung up after 15 seconds.Obviously a boiler room company with unknown intentions. Don't give them any information.

Caller claims to be from "C.I. Technology Database" - a telemarketer database "specializing in education & technology decision makers".

I received a call from this number today. He was very had to understand but he finally told me that he was from Harte Hanks. He asked from someone that doesn't work here and he gave the correct name of our company. We do not give out information so I told him he would have to speak to our manager. He said that he would call back later.
