Called. No Message, but went to YouMail.com for my annoying voice mail message for telemarketers. LOL
They signed us up for "free" trade publications that we neither requested nor wanted. We tossed them in with the recycling. After time, they billed us for the "free" unrequested and useless publications, then started calling to demand payment. If a company sends you unrequested merchandise, they should not bill you for it later, especially after they have presented it as free. This is not a legitimate business practice. Free junk gets tossed out, and we will not pay for it.Even if they had not been junk publications and we had utilized them, we still would owe the scammer nothing for free, unrequested items.If we had ordered a subscription, that would be different. But this is not the case. They try to trick people into becoming paying customers. Unfortunately, some people fall for the scam, demonstrating to the magazine scammer that it is worth a try to see what fool out there can be harassed into paying the unethical invoice.I agree that they should not be hanging up on people, but this is merely a side issue. The bigger issue is this: They should not be operating a scam.
The number 860-589-0220 has been identified by other callers as "Mark Facy & Company" - and as telemarketers for magazine publishers - AND which showed up on our Caller ID device as coming from CONNECTICUT. We hope this helps someone ... anyone ... with prosecution against these spammers/scammers !!
I just got a call from these fools and a voicemail that just had background noise. Annoying!
it is a call center that many companies use to verify info. it was for Financial Planning magazine for me.
They called me 5 times today finally some one was on the other end while I was on with them I Google there number and told them they are a reported as a scam company. I also stated that I was on the do not Call Registry and they are going to be reported.
