Received call from this number at 11:13 am on March 2, 2012. No message was left. Annoying call. One more call and I will go to authorities. Am on Do Not Call registry
I have an entry here from Nov. 2012 and this place still calls. It comes up as Unavailable, but it displays the number 860-589-0220. It's an Indian accent, and they ask for a person who works here or his assistant, or anyone who is our IT person. I used to say they were not in, but they would ask for anyone else who could assist. Now I just hang up on them. Very annoying.
That's not entirely accurate. The call is still traceable, it still had to get to the phone network, and therefore is traceable back along the route it took to it's origin. Typically your phone company will have a call trace feature code (Check the front of your local phone book, typically *57) and that will trace the call to origin, unfortunately they don't reveal the results to you, the customer, and the information can only be retrieved by police. If the calls get bad enough, there is an option there, but you also have to be prepared to take it to that next level.
Went to voice mail for 6 seconds. You could hear the sounds of an office and other people on phone calls and the words "...customer service...". No name on caller-id.
Stated that they are "Computer World". Told them that if they did not have a call back #, then the person they were calling for in our office would not take the call.
Something really needs to be done about all these calls. I, too, as someone above, have asked several times to be removed from their list. It never happens. Where are the authorities on this one? This is pure outright scamming, so don't answer calls from this number!
ID says "Bristol CT." Has now called our office three times this morning, each time with no one on the other end.
These are identity theft scammers using a spoof caller id number to display over VOIP. That is why when you call back the phony number the message is Number is No Longer in Service (NIS). Please tell them that you have a federal wiretap on all incoing calls and that they can no longer hide behind phony spoof caller ID numbers. I have alerted associates at the agency and they will be knocking on their doors shortly.Tick, tock.
