Received a call from 860-979-8899 too. Didn't answer the phone. The call is very similar to the calls I've been getting from 617-778-xxxx, in-which the phone rings about three times and THEY hangup.
Got a call from this # at 3:21pm. I live in Texas. I answered the call and it was an automated message but in spanish?!?!? No speako spanish!
20 May 09I noticed that I had a missed call on my cell phone. When I checkec it, it was from 860-797-8899 and they had called at 2:45. I called the number and the recording said that it was no longer in service. I did a reverse look-up of the number and the information provided was: Land line, provider: Choice One Communications, location: Rockville, CT and that the number was unpublished.
Got a call from this # while driving. Of course I didn't answer it. They left no message so I guess it wasn't that important. I didn't call back. Looks like this # is getting around. I'm in Maryland.

Claims to be from a roofing team. Somehow knows real name and city. I keep getting texts like this from different numbers, they stop responding when I ask how they have my number.
