Thats not necessarily true, but they maybe on to something. It really depends on your Servicer. I worked for Citi and we had customer's "paid ahead" sometimes as much as by a year or more. However, if your Note/Mortgage terms specifically demand that you make payments every thirty days- then you are delinquent after 30 days of your last pmt. Even if you made pmts that total 7 months of pmts to move you fwd. Another issue, is the pmt hierarchy of said company. If your pmt is to much or little, then it may go into a "unapplied bucket". Many times Servicers will claim they have no idea of what to do with monies that exceed or come short of a full pmt. Then you must call or fax "directions" of what to do with said funds. Until you do such they may just hold the funds and not credit the acct. BOTTOM LINE...keep tabs on your account thru online services or just call on fridays after noon is always best-never around the 15th or 30th. Then you can tell them not to solicit you and only call for account specific issues.

Well's Fargo Home MortageI've asked them to stop the sales calls, they seem to be refusing.I'm two months ahead in mortage payments so I know it's not a collection call.They have called from other numbers trying to sell crap, I blocked those numbers so now they are using another, just like any scumbag scam artist would do. The caller ID is blank more proof of them lowering themselfs to scum level.And no, I did not select them as my mortage company, my 1st mortage company sold the mortage to them.

Look for their privacy policy. They have to mail it out every year and it is probably posted on their website. There are supposed to be instructions how to opt out of marketing. If they don't stop after that, I'd sue, just make sure you have a copy of what you sent and proof they received it.

Looks like a new number being used by Wells Fargo. It's a robocall generated when they don't get your payment within a few days of the due date.

If you think you're ahead on your payments you may want to double check. Mortgage companies aren't set up to credit payments several months ahead. Anything extra you pay in a given month is applied to your principal and you still owe a payment next month. There are probably ways to get around that but it's not automatic...you can think you're six months ahead and they'll mark you as delinquent.

I got a text message from short code 546-87With this message:Pls call Wells Fargo Home Mtg 8663987556. Debt collection attempt; and info provided will be used for that purpose. End alert? Reply STOP. Reply may incur feeI called the number and they wanted the last 4 of my SSN. That is NOT going to happen. Just got a reminder to pay my mortgage via email yesterday and sent the check today. Is this normal? It is not even late...
