They will NOT help you with your student loans. I have Great Lakes for 2 or 3 loans but am unable to work at all, so I have had no income since 2006 yet they harass me for payment. I keep telling them that I am unable to work and haven't worked since 2006 yet all the do is try to do deferments, but those run out, and I am no longer eligible for deferments and the only option now is to use NELNET to have the loans dismissed/forgiven. But to do that I need to have my doctor fill out the paperwork and I can't get into my doctor more than 2x yearly in this rural town I live in. And usually I forget to have him look at the paperwork, so then I have 6 months more of calls, etc. I tried getting SSDI but SSA hired a fraudulent doctor to write a fraudulent report saying that he examined me and that I was fully capable of many physical tasks like walking on concrete for 8 hours daily, crawling in crawlspaces 4 hours daily, etc. I was never informed I had to see any doctor, nor did I ever see one! I can't even crawl on carpet for 30 seconds let alone in a crawlspace for 4 hours at a time. I can't walk more than an hour now and even then I have to be holding onto something and putting my weight on it for support. They lie, the government is corrupt in every department, and I'm done spending 7 years attempting to get SSDI, that was 4 years ago that I gave up once I found out that fraudulent doctors report existed.Living with relatives is my only option for now. So saying "they will HELP you with your student loan(s)" is ridiculously inaccurate and a blatant lie.

I see that this number called my cell a few hours ago. If this is from some student loan affiliated whatever, no idea what they would be calling me for, since I have never in my life had any student loans whatsoever, and I haven't been in college since the 1970s to boot. Must've been a wrong number.

Phone rang three times at 7:43 am...I called number back, no answer yet. Not sure if debt collectors are allowed to call so early??? And, reading posts...I do not owe a student loan, nor am I retarded, and yes, this is my first post to such a site.
