****DO NOT CALL BACK OR TALK WITH*** PHISHING SCAM The number that called me and left a message is a phishing scam pretending they are interested in lower payments regarding student loans. The thing is, I don't have one. Sorry, Justin, your not getting my info!
Caller asked about repaying my student loan. I’m 65 and retired...SCAM, but funny!
DEFINTILY scammer, I just called back the number I received a call from & it was a different male, he said thank you for calling back, the reason I called you was to determine if you have federal student loans...I called from my work number, which they wouldn't have, never addressed me by Mr or Mrs...I said no and he said thank you very much, that's all i needed.
Same exact message as abovr. No company or my name directly mentipned. Definitely a scam! Watch out if you do have loans!
I am just received the same exact message about 7mins ago. I do have student loans, however, he never said the name of, what or who his company is. That's what really gave me pause. He never addressed me by name since he had my "file" on his desk..... I would have to say scammer!!
I just got a call today with the exact same message...not sure if it’s legit or if I should call back...

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
