They call and call... 5 times or more a day. When I answer no one is there... silence, and they a hang-up. If it is TD like it has been mentioned... we don't owe anything. And if we did, when they call, why doesn't some one talk and present the issue of business? If the caller is ligitimate, then why do they not conduct themselves professionally. It makes no sense. How is it possible that so many people get these calls which opperated like some child making calls for a joke?
this caller is really spamer, i called back, it pretent to put me on hold for 30s the a woman pickup, it aslo stimulate a call center background with some people talking, that agent didn't say her name when answer me, what's a TD standard to answer customer, so u can decide yourself this caller is legitimate or not
Interesting conversation guys, but this number called my son's cell phone. Don't think he has any beef with TD Canada Trust. They call many times a day to a teenager? Why? When I call back, "all of our agents are busy assisting other customers.....". No one ever comes back on. Very annoying.
Just to thank you all and to conform this call is a fraud. got the call on my cell and message to wait for next up coming agent waited by curiousity 2 minutes and I concluded they just want to spend my minutes.
Have this annoying number 866-485-5354 to stop calling. Who calls on Sundays? Evenings? Robot calling is such a ignorant way to be trying to reach people. Pissing them off is not the answer. Everybody just report them to your local telephone co. because there are laws against this type of calling.
They call our Company continously and hang up as soon as I answer it.....not very professional if you ask me.
They just called my cell 6 times in less than 5 minutes. I answered and was redirected to a voice message saying that all their agents are busy and then it hung up.This is the most unproffesional service I've ever encountered. I only have on credit account with TD and always pay more than the minimum. I don't know why they would be calling me and apparently they do not wish to tell me.
They've been calling non-stop.Btw they are also using multiple phone numbers and are spoofing them.Since when the hell does Toronto Dominion bank uses the alias "TD Bank"?I am pretty sure these are all VOIP proxy based calls, not from TD themselves. This group constantly calls, but having no one on the other end, means they are doing something to your VOIP or phone lines or cellphones, with their computers whenever you pick up.I saw a news article once that hackers can steal your information by simply connecting to your cellphone.Number spammers:866-485-5354480-282-9111888-845-4741Btw, all these numbers look like banks, because whoever is spoofing them, thinks everyone drops their guard if a bank calls with phone numbers from their site.Anyone here getting calls on a VOIP line? You can probably use a program to trace the IP that is called in, but the problem is that VOIP services are given by third party companies, like iTalkBB Canada, so I don't know if they are connected to it as well.Modem -> Internet -> iTalkBB VOIP server -> Caller (Internet VOIP maybe). In that sense, the caller has multiple ways of connecting to a call and hiding their ip address, if they are using a computer, to probably attack or hijack a VOIP device in your home when a call is made.At least that's my theory. Once a connection is made, vulnerabilities open up, so I might want to check with my router.
In principal Reality seems to be right; I don't agree with the way it was discussed though.Canadian privacy rules are bizarre. Unless you confirm your name they won't give you any information. Yes, it's annoying - they use auto-robocalls to initially place the call and then if you answer they make you wait to connect you with a live person.Annoying but it seems they are doing their job of debt collection. I was a victim of id theft and had no idea until these people called me. I called the TD fraud unit and it took only a little time for them to acknowledge and then a little more time to clear up the situation with THEM(the bank). They will give you a note to the effect that your debt is cleared but then you need to keep that and reference it to get these stupid collection agencies off your back.... they will but you just need to make the little effort. If you don't speak to them to clear up the situation, you are SURE to be called back at all times and hours. That's their job... so screaming at them without proof that you cleared up your payment probably isn't going to help you and more importantly, since it's a bank, it CAN affect YOUR credit score. My suggestion: be a man (or WOman) and face the situation to clear it up... with documentation! That SHOULD shut them up and if not then you have the legal recourse to sue them for harassment, which I'm sure would be fun as a class action... in fact this would be the exact forum to do so!!Do it right! Cheers!
