caller id said unknown call at 11:08 am did not answer and there was no message

They call my place of employment two to three times a day. it is either a voice recorded message or just like now and young lady with an accent asking for an employee here. I swiftly told her this was a place of business, that the employees can not have personal calls and to quit calling....

It’s CitiBank. Late on payment so the calls are expected.

They call once or twice a day and don’t leave a message

Harrassing phone calls daily at 8 AM, 12:00PM and 4 PM to a number not answered in over a year. Also calling on 1-866-532-0424. Blocked both numbers but they still keep calling. Blocking gives them busy signal and then hangs up on them. Called Citi Bank. Yes, they are aware of these scammers. Just don’t answer!

Number keeps calling saying my payment is passed due when the money was already pulled !

I got a call from this number while I was half asleep and after confirming my info and authorizing a payment I realized that I may have just given my info away to the wrong person! I called CitiBank and they verified the transaction on my account and said that they wouldn’t have been able to see activity on my account if it was fraud. They said that they have system-generated phone numbers, so they can not verify the number specifically but it is them. Not going to answer anymore calls regardless, that was too much of a scare for me.

Has called me four times this morning, then hangs up.

866-532-0423 Scam...be careful. They claim to be with Citi Bank. I actually have more than 1 account with them so I listened. They were very convincing informing me my acct is past due over $7k and I'm never late. They wanted to me to pay the balance or some amount over the phone. When I asked them which account, they gave me the last 4 digits of an acct I DO NOT HAVE and that's when I know it was a scam.

Ok, let's play the "IF" game... IF this is Citibank, and specifically the debt collections department, why are they calling people who don't owe them any money? IF this is Citibank, why is this phone number not registered? IF this is Citibank, why do they hang up when whoever they are calling answers the phone?IF you can't think of a logical, legitimate answer for any of these questions, then you should consider any call from any unknown number to be spam at the very least and scam \ fraud attempts in the worst case.IF you think a call is about something legitimate, never talk to anyone who calls you. You should always call them at the main number of the company in question...
