They use scam methods to try to locate people. They waste a lot of peoples time, I agree, report them to the FCC at fcc.gov.I was not the person they were looking for, they also called me twice, and once they found out that I was not the person, they hung up on me.
I have had numerous calls from these people. They have even resorted to calling my mother. I finally decided to call them back. What a mistake! At first I got the nicest rep, considering the business, and then I spoke to her supervisor and had a plan in place. Then all of a sudden, Anna Curry gets on the phone and is a royal beeotch!!! By the end of the call, she had me in tears. She wanted me to transfer the settlement amount to my mother's card where I am an authorized user without asking her. I really can't believe or express how rude she was. For me to be in tears is a big deal.
Well, they did it again. They called my mom saying that they weren't able to get a hold of me and that I had an outstanding debt with them and that I sent them a check and it bounced. First of all, I didn't send them a check. Again, they wanted me to transfer the balance to my mom's card without asking her because I'm an authorized user. Then they told my mom the entire situation and said that if I don't call them back that they will send this to the Attorney General's office. So, I'm going to a private office to return the call. Will let you know what happens. They are ruthless.
Received a phone call from UCB about my step-mother. The lady told me I was listed as her contact and that they have been trying to get a hold of her. She asked that I contact her and give her the information (phone #, extension and reference #). She would not give me any details for the call only that they were there to help her with her finances because of the problems a lot of people are having with money during this time. I told her that I would not relay the message unless she gave me more information because I was the one that would be helping my step-mother with her money issues. She then assured me that they were not there to sell her anything only to help her. Yeah, right! Thanks for expressing your moments with UCB, it really helped me to know that I made the right decision. Also, when trying to look up the phone number to see who they are and where they are located......no results were found. Of course, if I want to pay money for further searches I could possibly get information on the phone number but may not be the actual person/company using the number......I don't think so. Again, thanks to all who share their concerns for others. Bless you.
I received a call from a Kim at extension 6861 regarding someone called Ms. Yandell who suposedly gave them my home phone number as a reference number...Kim said she'd remove me from their call list, after all these comments I guess we'll see
They called my home for some name I couldn't even decipher. Left a case no. And phone number and wanted us to call back. She said it was for Jan Spice or Spikes. I'm not sure. I had never heard of the office of UCB. We own a business with spice in the name any son in law is a spikes but I know nobody named Jan. This really makes me angry that they think we are stupid enough to fall for that. I was so glad that I checked this out on the Interne. I do no even answer my phone half the time because of all this crap.
They called my work number & left a message for someone that I work with. It was a Mr. somebody, I couldn't understand his name, asked that the co-worker give them a call back at 1-866-546-1551 ext 6860, and then he rambled on & called my co-worker by a different name, Amanda, then paused, then kept talking like he never said the wrong thing. Idiot. Then he leaves a different phone number of 1-888-861-7707, same extension 6860 & asks that my co-worker give them a call. If I actually get to speak to them I will ask them to take this number off of their list, seeing as how this is a business. I never heard him say which company he worked for, but apparently it's the same UCB people.
Called my mother in law across the country. Asked for a guy I never heard of. Called back Ms. Jones, informed her of the situation and how I do not know this person. Somehow they got my address. I don't know if they know someone where I used to live, but this is a complete invasion of privacy.
