Got a robocall from 617-259-1611 about getting money from Soc Sec. They want me to call 866-701-1700 for more info.This is obviously a scam because Soc Sec does not make "cold" call like this.When will we get rid of these calls? The gov is not really interested because politician get lots of money from the phonecompanies. The phone companies do not care because telemarketers provide income. The only people hurt areus poor phone company dupes who have to pay for each call. And put up with the nuisance!How can we stop these jerks?

It does not matter how many do not call lists we are on, these scab companies will continue with their law-breaking phone calls because our Government does not have any teeth to go after them. Not to mention there is a tremendous amount of money keeping our elected leaders happy! Time to pull the plug on landline phones.

Scam. Block the number for yourselves - NOW!I got a call and the same voice message spiel, too."Take Charge" ...- grabbed my line, and would not release it until their robocall ended (a FCC/FTC violation);- number did NOT register on my missed-calls list;- website does not even have a street or mailing address (wtf?)- website link to apply does NOT work;- e-mail is a G-Mail account (NO government-related contractor uses G-Mail !)

CID Toll Free Call. Robocall Left voice message and sent SMS to cell. SMS identified them as Take Charge, a Social Security contractor.

Same message as everyone else. So tired of these calls. I don't talk to anyone but my appointed case worker. Even she said it's a scam and to only go to the ticket to work website or call your worker. With all the reports you'd think they would have stopped them by now. Instead it looks like they took a break and are back at it again.

A robocall - recorded message from Social Security. I am not on SSI. A search shows this number to be a land line, but an invalid number. There is no option to have your phone number removed or placed on their do not call list. Spam score is 97%.

It is a scam . If Social Security wanted to get in touch with you on a subject like this you would get a letter in the mail with the proper letter head letting you know that it is for real & not some crap like this. That is my thoughts on this. Smells Fishy to me.
