Just got a call from the #. Let it go to voice mail....no message.We are members of the NRA. They do call occasionally with "survey" type questions.
This # is the National Rifle Association. I asked the solicitor my member #, current address, and current member status and all were accurate. They are soliciting upgrading memberships and asking for donations.
AS a lifetime member go hound other people for $.I owe no bills. I have no debt. I pay my bills ON TIME. NOT, I REPEAT NOT SOME STUPID NATIONAL RECOVERY ACT that a few geniuses feel it is.They are soliciting fund raising. I still don't respond to people like this and I encourage you to not do so either with identity theft on the rise. You seek your donating areas, don't respond to them.
Yes I called them too,and you do get a recording that this is the National Rifle Association, Sorry we missed your call, but these scammers have a way of sending these type of messages to a recorded message implying it is someone else.Notice that you don't get a person on the phone when you call back just a message.

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
