I received a phone call this morning for that number, but nobody answered. I applied yesterday for a AA Citi Bank Account and at the time of approval i received a message on the screen that they need more information for my credit request and i need to call one number. I did not called them becuause i am not interested in the credit so probably is from Citi Bank.Maricela.

I just applied for the AA card by Citi Bank last night so I thought ok maybe it really is regarding that, but I would go back to the site and get the number from there to be sure. Just got a call not long after from that number, a recorded message saying the same thing, stated my name, told me to press 1 to continue, I wasn't sure if I should, but did anyway and they just put me on hold for a long time waiting for a rep.

supposedly citibank was trying to contact me also however I got a call from the same number 4 months ago in regards to my chase account how can that be?

I think I applied for some citibank card upgrade or something, too. They gave me a code to call but I didn't quite get it. I'm not going to call back because if they don't give me the card, its alright with me. I already have a citi card, which will do just fine, thank you. If they want me to respond to them, they shouldn't be so mysterious with their robocalls. Everyone looks up mysterious toll free numbers without answering them now. A friend called me 2 days ago. He got a call from someone claiming he was from Microsoft, suggesting the friend had a virus on his computer. I asked him what the caller ID number was. He said it was 888-888-8888, an obviously spoofed caller ID # microsoft would never use. Also, microsoft would never initiate a call unless asked. Also, where did 'microsoft' get my friend's number? The 'microsoft' guy then gave my friend a number with a 1 in front of it, which is not a way to give out a phone # now when only old style POTUS phone services use the 1 to begin a long distance phone call. Internet VOIP phones and cell phones which are supplanting the old fashioned '2 cans and a string' copper pairs phone service in America, don't use 1 ahead of a long distance call anymore. In addition, the phone # my friend was supposed to call, was 9 numbers long, not ten. I googled the number but got nothing. There's a new scam to trick phone users to call tiny foreign phone companies, triggering a major long distance overseas phone bill as a result. This sounded like what was afoot in my friend's case. They called me asking my Social Security number. They told to me the application I filed is not under my name????????? It's not true. Tehy are to steal SS number and identity. Becareful with this number. Don't answer any questions. Call you back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep getting calls, and a message once too. The thing is, I didn't apply for an account so I dunno what to do...

Received a Free Text Msg: Citi Cards needs to talk with you regarding your recent application. Please call 800-369-293 ref ######. A few minutes later I received a call on my cell phone from 877-216-1490, when I answered a recorded message identified me and said they needed to talk with me regarding my recent City application and to press 1 to continue. I hung up. I did mail in an application Citi Easy Deals, the end of October. I figure they can send me something in the mail if it's important.

Calls multiple times a week and has called twice in same day

Got an automated message "this call is regarding our tracing efforts of (name of someone) please press 1 to continue. I pressed 1 because I am tired of getting calls from these people for this person. I waited about a minute before someone answered, again asking for (name of someone) I told them that person was not associated with this number and does not exist and to remove me from their list. They then hung up on me. I don't know how many times I have to tell them before they leave me alone.
