This is the Loyalty and Retention division. They called to check in on my service, helped me rework my plan so I don't spend a fortune on long distance and gave me a month's free calling for being a long time customer. So, I'm thinking not all calls from this number are negative.

Ya, they called me too. I'm tired of them calling to ask me how is their service. Let's put it this way, we just dropped telus for our Blackberry and whn my current cell phone contract runs out we'll finally be free of Telus!

just googled the number and apparently its telus?? contract isnt up until october, but i bet their getting a headstart!

MAN they're annoying, they never even let it ring, or leave a message or text or anything to tell me what it's about, although now that I know it's telus I'm pretty glad that they're not. I need another carrier. Telus sucks, but I had a good plan, from way back when, and my boyfriend got the same one, so we've got free telus to telus, and he's stuck with a 3 year plan right now.

just received a call a few mins ago from this number but when i answered it was dead silence. after reading this, i know my plan is up in August so maybe that's why they're calling. this is so annoying cuz they did the same thing from a different number at 10am. it's like getting prank called, i wish someone would just say something!random note, i'm not sticking with telus after this. i've been a customer with them for close to 7 years and got no perks for being loyal. rogers or kadoo here i come!

Ah, thanks for clearing this up.I've been calling them to complain a lot recently (I'm a small business owner, with VERY expensive cell-phone bills), and I am completely unsatisfied with my service.There's 15 months left on my contract, I doubt they'll offer me anything useful.

Definetly Telus.It was easy I just tried the number and it answered Telus!

I agree with Damion. I love Telus, have been with them for years and will not switch. If I have ever had a problem with my cell phone they have been more than helpful. For anyone wanting to go back to Rogers, let me give you a little advice....don't! I have a number of clients who have dealt with Rogers in the past and have left for a number of reasons including ridiculous monthly bills, bothering telephone calls as well as rude customer service. They will never go back to Rogers and are now with Telus and are very happy. Perhaps if you say the Telus people are being rude to you, maybe it's the way you approach them in the first place....just saying...

They called my number too, but left no message. My contract is not up for renewal, in fact I don't have one at all. No idea what they are up to...
