I received text msg saying:
Bank of America: 987623 is your authorization code which expires in 10 minutes. If you didn't request the code call 1.877.388.65.81 for assistance. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a BOFA number, Scam alert!!!
It's a scam, Don't let others fool you!
Exact same as Julie who posted in Dec 2018, but this time two texts within minutes this morning, December 6th, 2019. SCAM!
False number its a scam !!!
it is a good one: I received this text for authorization code twice in 10 minutes. I myself was not using it but family card holder purchased something without telling me before hand. I called BofA credit card fraud and confirmed it is legit text to prevent fraud. All clarified.
This is actually legit. It's the number of BoA Authorizations. I was transferred to this number when a merchant could not complete a transaction because my shipping address did not match my billing address.

Got a text from 41021 short code today with the same message everyone else was reporting saying to call the 877 number. I called BOA's number on the back of my card and they verified that it was not from them. Its Attempted Fraud. If you get this text just delete / ignore it.

Phone number calls multiple times a day, once someone from my office picks up, it is dead silence on the other line. When you try to call back, it is a number that is not in service.
trying to collect someone’s old bill
Call came up as Prison/Jail Little Chute, WI; Green Bay Correctional Center. Don’t know anyone in jail or prison.

Scam debit collector. I say 'scam' because I don't have a credit card, loan, lease, tuition, or debit or any kind. I own my home, vehicle, and everything in them. There's not a single reason for a debit collector to be calling me.
Says it’s Amazon and charged my banking account fraudulently. Amazon has no record of my transaction.
