call came in stating someone made a purchase using my credit card and to call to verify purchase. Called credit card company using the number on my account. No purchase was made.
Not spam. Warning me of a zero interest promotion that is about to expire so I can pay off loan and avoid the deferred high interest. I view this as a courtesy call...and I am glad that they did.
Automated recording offering refinancing on "no interest if paid in full loan". Switchboard.com reports "moderate spam activity" on this number, no geographic location.
I did not listen to recording although I did not recognize it as one of the usual "callers" from one of the most common pia calls, after the number has called three times in less than 1.5 hours, I looked it up here.I am guessing that this is yet another scam company or one of the old with a new song and dance.
It is a busy day. It is not quite 2:00, and I have received 5 predatory solicitor calls already. I NEVER answer.
Wells Fargo calling to remind me that I have a zero percent promotion about to expire on one of my cards and that to avoid accrued deferred interest that payment needs to be made by the due date.
I just received this call and it was a valid one. I do have a loan with Wells Fargo, in which the balance needed to be paid off by a certain time in order to avoid the interest charges. So this was not spam, but very helpful. In our case we were already on top of the situation and actually paid the balance in full just yesterday. So their phone reminder system was a little behind on getting the notification, however, this is the kind of good thing banks and finance companies should be doing to remind their customers how to avoid interest charges. The only problem is that most people are so gun shy when we get so many rogue phone calls, we almost immediately ignore all of them.
Not spam. Courtesy reminder of a no interest loan if paid in terms expiry date approaching. Great customer service from Wells Fargo!
