I am a 1and1 customer. I also received calls and no message. I answered but they dropped the line. have an issue with them. they are asking to update my cc and not releasing my domain to other provider. Their service is very bad. Support does not reply in time and each time different person with different answer. Their website s very slow and in the middle of a transaction you logged out and you have to login again. To make a long story short I am not happy with them.
I spoke to a 1and1.com technical services rep in April 2009 to cancel my account. I was led to believe that the account was canceled. I received no other communication. On Dec. 14, 2009 I received a collection letter from their NCO financial systems stating that I owed 1 and 1 $23.94 and $18.95. I called 1and1, they said my account was not fully closed, only the domain was canceled- not the hosting. I told them I had requested both (and why would I still host if the domain was canceled). Then they told me they sent me ONE email in October to let me know that I owed money. I did not receive this email. They did not send an invoice by mail, call me (they have my phone number) or attempt to contact me in any other way. The 1and1 sales representative acknowledged that I did cancel my domain in April, but hosting was not canceled. I said that when I communicated with Tech Services, I was led to believe that both had been canceled. Next she said that if I paid the collection company, then they would pro-rate back my refund based on the cancelation date. However, I still would have to pay the $18.95 late fee. Then they transferred me to NCO to make the payment over the phone, I found out that I had to pay another $8 to pay via credit card over the phone to ensure that the bill would not be reported to the credit agencies. I had been told by 1and1 that I would not be reported to the credit bureauy and that I had 30 days to pay this bill. 1and1 mislead me again & it cost me a total of $50.89.
Exactly. And almost similar dates, now December of 2011. After reading your post last night relating to the very same phone number calling my cell at 8:43 pm...it dawned on me that the same could be true for my canceled account which I initiated in May. I quickly shot off an email first thing this morning forwarding the 1and1.com cancellation email that I had archived, which added the fact that my renewal as due in July and I should've been ahead of the game. Since I had not been contacted by NCO or any other third party collector I recall not having a balance owed anyways. I closed the email with "please adjust your records to note" no balance owed, no reason to call further." By afternoon they had referred it to billing and replied.Indeed there was no balance but "full cancellation had not been initiated" and "all I need to do is log on and complete the cancellation process." Hello? What was the 1and1.com cancellation email verifying in May?All in all it took 5 minutes, but I am grateful for reading this two year old post!
1 and 1 web hosting calling to demo more hosting products. Asked to be removed from call list.
1and 1 hosting company constantly calls from this number trying to solicit all the other products they are trying to sell my company. Every time I tell them we are not interested, so they call again the next month. ANNOYING!
holy crap they call me like 5 times a day. i've never had an account with them, i don't want an account with them.
I just got a call from this number...but it wasn't 1&1. It was somebody pretending to be them, telling me I could get some free software...all I had to do was verify my account password. They knew my name,
