The very same thing happened to me! I have a gynecologist/obstetrician and an ultrasound group. I asked Pediatrix who they represent. They said Pediatrix. Both of our bills are paid in full. What money could we owe?? I'm only in the second trimester!
I'm right there with Teresa, kt & Jenn....I received a call this morning and did not answer as I'm at work and don't answer 877 #s. I received a cutoff voicemail, unable to tell what they said before it disconnected. I am currently pregnant, but baby has not arrived yet and I have no outstanding balance so I am ignoring this one. If I receive another one post birth, I'll check into the advise of L.
Amy do you have Medicaid as your ins? I ask because my ins through Medicaid (amerigroup) was hacked so I'm wondering is this company is fraudulent. They have been contacting me as well.
Received voicemail with automated message asking to receive a return call. From my experience, automated messages are often fraudulent. Ignoring this one. Thanks for posting.
BEWARE of this company's sketchy practices. I love my OBGYN but I hate this billing company. I pay my bills full in at the office but I still get calls from them trying to collect debt. I had to mail my receipts in to them by email and post to prove I paid. Then my account goes "under review" until someone in the company decides my PAID IN FULL receipts are good enough to stop harassing me. They must think we are all really stupid and we're just going to pay because they said so. They also refuse to wait till you get your EOB to make sure your not over paying. That's really shady.
And FYI this billing company is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau. Keep track of every dime you send them because they will continue you to harass you for bills already paid or on thing you don't even owe.
My children are all above 18 and in college, so I don't owe this FRAUDULENT company a penny. Plus, my husband is a senior IT with 37 years of experience in his field, advising me to ask for the date of service, at where, the name of the person you are speaking with, and finally ask him/her to send you another bill. NEVER fall in the trap giving them your credit card number because you don't know what else they will do with it. I don't know why the Better Business Bureau does not investigate and shut down this type of fraudulent company in my humble opinion.
i am in the collections field, and i can tell you this is a scam. they called me and told me that she "couldn't read the name of the doctor's office." then she told me the name of some doctor i have never heard of. i told her to send it in writing. i made sure my bills were paid in full before i went into labor to prevent any discrepancies. any legitimate business would have sent something in wrinting. they dont just call blindly. do not answer.
