Have called 14 times today!! I do not know who is calling and I do'nt care!! I have a phone that you can barely hear it when it rings!
Received 2 calls in a row; they left a message on the second call. After calling them back and having to leave a message to remove me from their lists, I called the owner. This is a legitimate dog-owner in my city (not close neighborhood) whose dog has been missing for 4 days. And get this - They pay over $600 for this service!! She wasn't aware that they were calling people who are unpublished and on the DNC registry. Just my experience.
I have just used this service after one of our neighbors made me aware of it a few months ago by using it for his lost dog. I looked out for the dog, which was eventually found. I think it's a legitimate service, and it provides a way out if you don't want to receive further calls (you just press a key on the touchpad). If you have never lost a pet, you might not understand how invaluable such a service can be! I understand the annoyance, but when I received the call on behalf of my neighbor, I was glad to know that I could perhaps be of help.
Pay to have phone number unlisted, phone companies still makes money ofmy unlisted number. If this continues will stop using phone lines.they called me several times, gave lenghty message on my machine and on it gave me a website, lostmydoggy.com something like dat... Is there a way to stop this calls?
I was out doing some errands and when I came home, I saw that there was a message on the answer machine and in the message it says something about my neighbor Glen which there is no neighbor that has that name in my neighborhood and that he lost his pet Neo in which I have never heard of this person named Glen and this person's dog that has that name Neo. This is a load of BS. I came online and looked up the number and finally I found out what was by looking at this site. I use ID Tag from my local grocery store and I have lost my dog and one of my legitimate neighbors has found her and I was happy to have her back home. Having a pet ID Tag is more useful than this BS stuff about using a robot automated machine telling people about their lost pet. I am all for losing a pet and then bringing them back home, but this needs to stop. This is a load of BS and this is a scam. The more of us that reports these people to the FTC and the better we can be able to stop this from happening.
I suppose I shouldn't have called and jumped down this person's throat but I like my privacy!!! If its a legit site then sorry for complaining, but I got a persons phone number on a message and called. However this is how I feel: If this company cared enough they would solicit donations, not charge so much, and also why not flyers? Instead of calling? Again if they care there are alot of ways to find your pet , mostly my cat comes back soon and I do freak out. She runs out the door but I would actually spend the time to put up flyers, and contact the neighbors but not call of them
As being someone who has lost a dog, this site has been a great tool to help find our pooch. You may not know everyone in your neighborhood, but wouldn't you try any option to find a family member?
If you listen to the whole message their is an option for being added to their do not call list.
Received bizarre call from 877-818-0060 claming my neighbor "Mary" ( none by that name) lost a grey cat named Derek on 6/7 - 7 weeks ago. Extremely annoying and bogus. Absolutely no relevent details that might actually help if there was truly a lost pet - "last seen in area of Oak & Main in Springfield, MA wearing a pink collar".
