another scammer for "home improvement" I never answer these calls. I use youmail.com to screen all my calls. I have had 8 different calls from all different area codes, ALL for contractors. Just another spoofed number. I can see from my records they have called before and I had already blacklisted them. Seeing that there are so many reports this one must be a rogue overseas outfit. The government squashed the bugs a few months ago but they are coming back. I am getting payday loans too. Just scammers
Glad I haven't answered this one. And I won't. If I don't recognize the caller ID I let it go to voicemail. They didn't leave a message.Just a side note. I've never mentioned this here but . . . You pay that phone bill to have a phone for YOUR convenience. You don't have to answer it when it rings.
They called again this afternoon at 3:53 PM PST. AT&T I am holding you guys accountable for these calls.
I answered the fake number and told the person to go away. The woman asked me if I just told her to go away. When I said yes she said I have your address lady and you better be careful. I said I was scared to death and she hung up on me. Unblocked another number to block this one. 250 is not enough numbers to block.
At least the 10th unwanted call from this invalid (spoofed) toll-free number arrived today, just 1 week since the 9th unwanted call on July 11. Once again, when the answering machine picked up, the caller left no message, just dead space. Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) often spoof their numbers to cover their tracks while trolling the phone lines, seeking gullible schmucks to victimize. The caller is reported to be an out-of-work contractor (probably unlicensed), based in Beverly Hills with the phone number (424) 777-9271, and using various phony names. Whether it's scam home improvement contractors, scam police charities, scam solar energy vendors, scam vacation giveaways, scam credit card services, scam HVAC contractors, scam computer repair technicians, scam IRS impersonators, or other assorted fraudsters, A SCAM IS A SCAM IS A SCAM!
